Lutherville Home Suffers Flooding

The storm dumped several inches of water in an entire wing of the first story of this house in Lutherville. Our SERVPRO ASD-applied structural drying-experts started the water clean up by tossing out the damaged items on the floor and setting up a sump pump and then wet vacs to extract the flood waters. The second pictures shows the gutted lower drywall paneling that was not salvageable. Our heated air movers circulated the air and heated it so that the low grain refrigerated dehumidifiers could maximize the moisture extraction. We also drilled some small holes in the cinder blocks to release trapped moisture in the cells. The low rate of evaporation meant that the equipment worked full time for several days before we could verify the moisture content and RH were restored to standard levels. Done right!
