Storm Damage – North Towson
Storm damage at this North Towson home resulted when two large widows were broken out during a severe thunderstorm. There was a great deal of water deposited on the dining room floor, and it stood on the carpet for days as the family was on vacation. The was no way to restore the carpeting and padding, so we tore it up and properly disposed of the debris. The subflooring needed extensive drying due to the time the water had been left standing, so it was dried using commercial air movers and dehumidifiers. SERVPRO uses sophisticated monitoring devices to determine the moisture content of building materials, and they were put to good use here as the means to tell us when the materials wee dry enough to put in new carpeting and complete the finish work.
